“I bought a competitor unit. It won’t ignite or even make a clicking sound to try, but the room stinks bad of propane. With gas there are always some dangers, but the unit wasn’t even shutting itself down after multiple failed fires.”

You need a CO2 generator that:

  • Has safety mechanisms in place to prevent gas from leaking
  • Is affordable
  • Works with a CO2 monitor

Our CO2 generators are propane or natural gas burners that help you increase and regulate the CO2 in your grow room. They work with CO2 controllers and have a variety of safety features to keep gas from leaking.

  • Great value: industry standard CO2 generator at a lower price
  • Controllable: connect it to your controller to regulate CO2 automatically
  • Powder coated steel construction: keeps out moisture to prevent rust and discoloration
  • Safety “tip-over” switch: shuts down the gas in case your unit gets knocked over or falls
  • Electronic spark ignition (ESI): no pilot light necessary. Makes starting your unit really easy
  • Automatically restarts if flames go out: prevents gas from leaking. If the ignition is unsuccessful, the unit automatically turns off the gas
  • Your choice of 4 or 8 burners: more burners means more CO2. Pick the right size for your room

Should there be a gas odor in the area?

  1. If you smell a gas odor, take the following steps:
  2. Turn off the gas supply immediately. Do not turn on any electrical devices.
  3. Ventilate the area by opening vents, doors, or windows. Leave the area until the gas odor is no longer present.
  4. Once ventilated and the gas odor is gone, determine where the leak is by using soapy water. Spray the soapy solution on the gas connections and watch for bubbles. Bubbles will appear if the connection(s) are leaking. Seal the leaks. If this does not correct the problem, contact the store you originally purchased your CO2 generator from.

Can I use my Propane CO2 generator with Natural gas? Can I use my Natural gas CO2 generator with Propane?
No. You need to buy the correct generator for your gas source. If you’re using propane, buy the propane version (and the same for the natural gas version).
